Hi, I'm Beng!
I'm the Chief Creative Collaborator of Buhay Bohemian, a brand that promotes love for mindful, sustainable and bohemian living and practices. It started as a passion project which I launched in 2018 as My Boho Life PH, a personal website dedicated to celebrating bohemian aspirations through intentional products and stories on sustainability, non-conformity, creative freedom and humanity.

I'm a journalist by profession and a bohemian at heart. I've been keeping up with the high cost of living as a female creative, writing and leading projects for different causes since 2000. My journey as a creative "indiepreneur" began with handmade bead accessories inspired by my hippie Mom and her fashion era of the '60s and '70s. In 2008, I conceptualized my line of bohemian-inspired beadworks called BeadWords for Josephine in memory of my late Mom and opened my first blog shop BeadWords Boutique.

In 2024, I decided to sunset myboholifeph.com while starting anew with this passion project as Buhay Bohemian versus My Boho Life, which for some sounded more like blogging about my life in Bohol, an island province of the Philippines. Well, it's actually short for My Bohemian Life. :) I'm from Quezon City (not from Bohol) where I run a Weekend Garage Shop in this upbeat street called Retiro, my home sweet boheme since the '70s.
